Our annual family throw down in memory of our brother Samuel Davis. "For the Love of Life and Blues Foundation

The 4th annual celebration of our dear brother Samuel M Davis is this weekend and we can’t wait to see everyone! We do this every year to not only remember Samuel, but to come together to remember him and his favorite things, in one of his favorite spots Hopson Hospitality - the blues and Clarksdale. He was the most giving, caring guy we have ever met. So with that, we wanted to do something that could someday embody and carry on the legacy of his heart.

We organized the ‘For the Love of Life and Blues Foundation,’ a registered 501(c)(3) with the Internal Revenue Service and the state of Mississippi to do just that. Our foundation hopes to raise money to provide resources to schools to ensure children and adults learn about the musical arts of the Delta Blues. The Delta is such a special place and its music brings everyone from all walks of life together.

While this isn’t the only way the charity will help communities, this is just our starting point. We have been seeking guidance on our mission in the hopes to carry on Samuel’s legacy in a way that he would be proud of.

We miss our brother so much and believe we can help make a difference with Samuel’s heart at the forefront of the purpose. Each year, we hope to get bigger and better, with more ideas and creativity.
